Design for good & Up-cycled furniture

Sustainable does not mean low tech. New technologies can make their contribution to the design of green products. Jigsaw is produced by a laser cutter and aims to reduce the production of waste by using the material in a more effective way. The ensemble of the furniture does not need the addition of any other material. As a result, it is easier to recycle or reuse. The object is composed of multiple parts that can be replaced over time.

Background: “Fair@square” is a national, free public event held in the cultural heart of Melbourne, Federation Square. The festival celebrates ethical, sustainable, morally responsible behaviour, designed to nourish the mind, body, and soul. The festival promotes ethical consumption and purchases in time for Christmas (Moral Fairground, 2014).
